World Festival 2007

“Reaching Out to the World”

The Rochester International Association invites everyone to participate and enjoy the 31st Annual Rochester World Festival. It will be held this year at Mayo High School (1420 11th Ave SE [Map this]) and will be a part of Rochester’s Year of the Family. We invite all the people of Rochester to celebrate their cultures with us.

April 20, 2007 7-9pm : Ethnic Talent Show : at Mayo High School Auditorium

An ethnic talent show on stage: ETHNIC DANCE, MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT featuring RCTC’s WORLD DRUMMERS.

Tickets to attend are available at: $8 ADULT, $3 STUDENTS and will be on sale at: Hunts Silver Lake pharmacy, Mayo Activities, ($1 discount for RIA members) at RIA/IMAA reception desk, 300 11 Ave NW. and at Mayo High school from 6:15-7:00 before the performance.

April 21, 2007 10am-3pm : World Festival 2007: at Mayo High School

Saturday’s family day begins with a Parade of Nations in ethnic dress, World Food Tasting, Ethnic and cultural displays, Activities for children and families and World Music performances.

Food:
Sampling of the food available… Korean, Vietnamese, Indian, German, Greek, Filipino.

Special Bonus for Attendees:
Join or renew your RIA membership at the World Festival, and receive $5 worth of food coupons at the World Festival.

Volunteers
The RIA needs many volunteers for the World Festival. We invite you to take part in the entertainment program, plan and/or cook ethnic foods that you can sell at the Festival, set up cultural displays, help organize or teach games, dances and art activities for children and their families.
