The child of a Hiroshima Survivor, Yuko Taniguchi was born in Yokohama, Japan, in 1975. At 15, she came to the U.S. alone and attended high school in Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree at the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University, and her MFA from the University of Minnesota. She lives with her husband in Rochester, MN
